I was a photographer for the Next Big Nashville music conference. I got the opportunity to shoot a lot of great bands and musicians from all over the globe and meet with some talented folks in the music business.
I went to school to become a journalist for the Army. We were given an assignment to shoot a personality feature on people doing their jobs. My first subject was a man who worked for the Library of Congress storage facility. He ships and receives books requested by the Library of Congress. I stumbled upon my second subject while wandering aimlessly throughout the city of Annapolis, MD. He and three others were sanding a house in preparation to be painted.
Recently, I did a shoot for Durk Brown, owner and designer of Durk Shirts. He was a pleasure to work with and gave me the opportunity to put some new faces in my portfolio. Along with Durk were the 4 models who graciously volunteered their faces for the shoot. Check out Durk's line of quirky shirts at www.durkshirts.com
I decided to drive to Maryland's East coast today--Ocean City to be exact. There was a huge middle school cheerleading convention going on. The city was swarming with a bunch of screaming, hyper 12 year old girls. Most of my shots were ruined from ponytails and glittery hair bows getting in the way; I managed to get a few without.
